The perfect surface for your work

Headerbild Produkte Polishing

The surface determines the first and last impression of a workpiece. The polishing machines of REITEL's POLIRET series are designed to bring metals, plastics, and other materials to a high gloss while ensuring a clean and dust-free working environment. Integrated extraction, washable fleece filters, scratch-resistant splash guards, and bright LED lighting are standard equipment on all models.

The POLIRET series comprises four models for different requirements. The POLIRET MINI offers a compact single-spindle solution for smaller laboratories and practice labs. The POLIRET CLASSIC operates with two spindles and two fixed speed settings of 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute. The POLIRET COMFORT also features two spindles, but with stepless speed control, optionally with a digital speed display. The POLIRET TWIN has two fully independent motors, each separately and steplessly adjustable, also optionally with speed display.

Performance, Control, and Clean Air

The stepless speed control of the POLIRET MINI, COMFORT, and TWIN enables precise adaptation to material and paste from 270 to 4,500 revolutions per minute. The POLIRET CLASSIC reliably covers the most common polishing situations in laboratory operation with its two speed settings. The integrated extraction with washable fleece filter reliably keeps dust and polishing residues out of the breathing air. On the POLIRET TWIN, both spindles and extraction channels can be controlled independently of each other, enabling simultaneous work at one machine or switching between different pastes without changing brushes.

The right solution for every need

Dental Laboratory

In the dental laboratory, polishing is the final decisive step before a restoration leaves the technician's hands. Metal, plastic, and denture base material must be brought to a high gloss without polishing paste or grinding dust placing a burden on the working environment. The POLIRET CLASSIC delivers a proven and straightforward solution for standardised polishing processes with its two fixed speed settings of 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute. Those requiring more flexibility choose the POLIRET COMFORT with stepless control and optional speed display for reproducible results across different materials. For small practice labs with limited space, the POLIRET MINI offers a fully capable entry point with a single steplessly adjustable spindle. In high-throughput laboratories, the POLIRET TWIN enables a significantly more efficient workflow through its two independently adjustable motors, allowing two people to work simultaneously or alternately with different pastes without changing a brush.

Jewelry

In jewelry manufacturing, polishing is far more than a final work step. High-gloss surfaces, matt finishes, and structured surfaces are design elements that demand precision and control. The stepless speed control of the POLIRET MINI, COMFORT, and TWIN allows precise adaptation to the respective precious metal and paste — from gentle pre-polishing through to the final high-gloss treatment. The scratch-resistant splash guards keep valuable metal particles within the work area, and the integrated extraction ensures that even the finest precious metal dust is not dispersed into the room air. For goldsmiths and jewelers who regularly work with different materials and pastes, the POLIRET TWIN offers the greatest convenience through its two independently adjustable motors and extraction channels.

Restoration

In restoration work, the surfaces of historical objects must be treated with the utmost care. Too much pressure or an incorrect speed can irreparably damage sensitive materials, patina, or surface structures. The stepless speed control of the POLIRET COMFORT and POLIRET TWIN enables delicate adaptation to the respective material — whether bronze, silver, gilded surfaces, or sensitive composite materials. The integrated extraction protects the user from fine material dust, which can be particularly harmful when working with historical substances. For restoration workshops that regularly work with different materials and polishing agents, the POLIRET TWIN offers the option of keeping both spindles equipped with different attachments and pastes simultaneously.

FAQ – Polishing with REITEL

Which models does the POLIRET series include and how do they differ fundamentally?
The POLIRET series comprises four models. The POLIRET MINI is a compact single-spindle machine for smaller laboratories and practice labs with stepless speed control. The POLIRET CLASSIC operates with two spindles and offers two fixed speed settings of 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute. The POLIRET COMFORT also has two spindles but with stepless speed control, and is optionally available with a digital speed display. The POLIRET TWIN has two fully independent motors that can be adjusted separately and steplessly, also optionally with speed display.
When is the POLIRET CLASSIC recommended and when the POLIRET COMFORT?
The POLIRET CLASSIC is suited for laboratories that predominantly work with standardised materials and pastes and do not require fine-grained speed adjustment. The two fixed settings of 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute reliably cover the most common polishing situations. The POLIRET COMFORT is recommended when different materials, sensitive surfaces, or specific paste types are regularly processed and precise, stepless speed adjustment is required.
What is the advantage of the two independent motors in the POLIRET TWIN?
The POLIRET TWIN offers two fundamental advantages in laboratory operation through its two independently adjustable motors and extraction channels. Firstly, two people can work at the machine simultaneously. Secondly, both spindles can be equipped with different attachments and pastes, allowing switching between different polishing stages without removing and cleaning a brush. This saves time and prevents paste contamination.
How does the extraction system work in the POLIRET machines?
All models in the POLIRET series feature integrated extraction that captures dust and polishing residues directly at the point of origin. The exhaust air is passed through a washable fleece filter that can be washed at 40 °C and is easy to replace. On the POLIRET TWIN, the extraction performance of both sides can be adjusted independently via separate control knobs on the top of the device. The exhaust air is directed upwards, allowing the device to be positioned directly against a wall.
What accessories are required for operation?
For all POLIRET models, REITEL recommends its own REITEL POWDER polishing compound as well as matching filter bags as a complement to the fleece filter. An optional chuck attachment is available for all models, enabling the use of milling cutters and grinding tools on the spindle. As a workstation complement, the Vario lift table with beech worktop is available, allowing individual adjustment of working height.
How much effort is involved in cleaning the POLIRET machines?
The stainless steel housing of all POLIRET models is smooth, corrosion-resistant, and can be quickly cleaned of polishing residues. The scratch-resistant splash guards protect the viewing panel from paste contamination and are easy to wipe down. The fleece filter can be removed when heavily soiled and washed at 40 °C, or replaced with a new filter bag. Thanks to the integrated extraction, polishing residues collect in a controlled manner in the filter rather than inside the housing, keeping overall cleaning effort to a minimum.
